Real Madrid’s Journey – The Beginnings Of The Most Successful Football Club

The Real Madrid Football Team or officially the Real Madrid Club de Futbol or simply Real Madrid is one of the most influential and most successful football team in Spain’s football and even the world today. It is one professional soccer club having its headquarters at Madrid Spain. The Santiago Bernabeu in which the team played in it since its restoration in 1947. The stadium 80,354 heads approximately which also a favorable choice for a team which everyone can anticipate a great game each time.
Actually Real Madrid was nominated and chosen by the FIFA to be declared 20th century’s most successful football club. This title did not come easily because the team just registered a great record of 31 La Liga titles, 17 Spanish Cup titles, 9 European Cup titles and 2 UEFA Cup titles; for which Real Madrid is the record holder for the La Liga and the European League. The club is one of the pioneering members of the G-14, now a defunct group and the European Club Association which replaced G14.
Real Madrid was founded in the 1902 and all the time it concentrated its efforts on winning Spanish football games. It also was one of the major teams who made the post-Spanish civil war reconstructed stadiums Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and Ciudad Deportiva Stadium to give another hope to these facilities through sports entertainment. It was not until the 1950s that Real Madrid Football Club penetrated and dominated European Football Leagues, adding titles to its Spanish Football League wins, not to mention bringing honor and popularity to Spain. The 1980s cannot be put aside as the Real Madrid Football Club introduced what at that time was considered the best team for that both dominated the games locally and in the European League. Who could have forgotten the team dubbed La Quinta del Buitre from this football club? It gave Real Madrid 5 UEFA Cup titles, 5 straight Spanish League titles and 3 Spanish Super Bowl Cup title. Now, you know why Real Madrid was given such honor, recognition and would give its opponents a run for each game.
The team traditionally has white as its color but later on started to add the light blue stripes to its uniform. The top of its uniform was changed many times due to sponsoring brands and the club’s attempt to go with the modern times. Its present crest is the modified one from their 1920 crest.
It was the students and mentors from Institucion Libre de Enseñaza who first introduced the game and this started the formation of Real Madrid. With this, in 1897 the Football Club Sky was born and games were conduced each Sunday morning in the Moncola. From just 1 club, the 1900 saw the split to pave way to 2 playing clubs – the New Foot-Ball de Madrid and the Club Espanol de Madrid. Another team was added in 1902 which was the Madrid Football Club. After 3 years from its founding, the Madrid Football Club had triumph and got its first Spanish Club title defeating the Athletic Bilbao. It then led the team to become one of the founders of the Spanish Football Association in 1909 with Adolfo Melendez as its first president. In 1912, the association moved to its new base after moving from team to team at Campo de O’Donnel. The momentous 1920 saw the changing of the club’s name to Real Madrid which King Alfonso XIII grated and added the title “Real” which literally means Royal.
